At The Naper Settlement ~ Naperville, IL

There are many appropriate times for the bagpipes to be played at a wedding ceremony.  Some couples choose to have the pipes played at only one portion, while some choose several.  Examples of popular choices are:

  • *Welcome arriving guests with a prelude
  •
  • *Seating of the mothers
  •
  • *The groom's entrance
  •
  • *The bridesmaids processional
  • *The bride's processional
  •
  • *During the lighting of the unity candle
  •
  • *The recessional
  • *During the receiving line
  •
  • *The newlywed's "get-a-way" as they enter their limousine heading to the reception

A piper may also be requested to play at the wedding reception.  Choices for the reception may include:

  • *Welcome arriving guests
  •
  • *Play during the cocktail hour...a time usually void of live entertainment.   This time can be wonderfully filled by the music of my second instrument: "the small pipes."  The rich tone and lower volume make the small pipes ideal for mingling amongst your guests without overpowering their conversations.
  •
  • *Announce the arrival of the newlyweds / bridal party by piping them to the head table

Whatever your choices are, I will work closely with you to ensure you are provided with the special moment you are looking for.
