What is your fee to play at a wedding, funeral, or event?
Because I accept engagements throughout Illinois my rate will vary some based on travel. When you contact me please let me know the date, time, and location of your event and I will promptly reply with a quote. I charge by the event, not by the hour. Like most pipers, I consider a wedding ceremony and a wedding reception to be two seperate events and quote accordingly. A discount is offered for playing both. My quote for your event will be your final number with no other fees.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. For all engagements except funerals or other last-minute events I require a $50 deposit to hold a date. This is not additional to your quote.
What do you take for payment, and when is it due?
I accept cash and checks. I prefer to receive the remaining balance when I've finished performing.
Do you have a contract?
Once I receive your deposit I will send you a letter outlining the program we've agreed to as well as listing the receipt of your deposit and your balance.
Where did you learn to play the pipes?
With the Illinois State Police Pipes and Drums... the oldest state law enforcement pipe band in America.
